Rosewood Flip-Top Bar Cabinet By Torbjørn Afdal For Bruksbo, Norway

About the Item

This stunning Scandinavian Modern rolling, flip-top extension bar cabinet was designed by the leading Norwegian designer Torbjørn Afdal for the company Bruksbo of which he was the top designer. Afdal's career took off when his furniture was purchases by a Japanese emperor and the First Lady of the United States Jacqueline Kennedy. The cabinet when closed is great looking with exceptional rosewood grain, sculptural handles, black mica top and chrome casters. The doors open to reveal a complete bar set up with shelves, green felted bottle slots and racks for glasses and accessoires. The flip top slides across to open to double the size for extra prep space. The cabinet can be locked when closed and a clever feature of this design is that the same locks can also be used to lock the doors in place when they are open. The back of the cabinet is also finished.
