About the Item

A fine quality George III mahogany linen press in the manner of Thos Chippendale C.1760, the flush fronted door panels with cross banded ovals, a chatting cornice with fluting and dentil moulding. Inside the red washed carcass has four slides for linens, below is an arrangement of two over three drawers, lined in oak and deal, raised on bracket feet. The whole is well figured and a glorious rich colour. Dimensions; 186.5cm high x 128cm wide x 57.5cm deep
