Fine Quality 18th Century George III Period Mahogany and Inlay Linen Press Cupboard A fine quality 18th-century George III period mahogany linen press cupboard. A stunning example of Georgian craftsmanship that embodies both elegance and functionality. This beautiful late 18th-century piece is constructed from richly grained mahogany, showcasing magnificent colour and stunning figuring throughout. The linen press features a moulded shaped cornice with plain frieze and four turned finials, sitting above oval panelled inlaid doors adorned with flame mahogany and satinwood cross-banding and inlay. The spacious upper section is fitted with four pull-out trays, perfect for storing linens or garments with ease. The base is fitted with four mahogany and satinwood inlay drawers, arranged as two small over two long graduated drawers, each retaining its original brass handles and fittings, providing ample storage space. This piece stands gracefully on classic shaped bracket feet, which enhance its refined Georgian character. Over time, the mahogany has developed a wonderful patina that highlights the depth and warmth of the timber, a hallmark of pieces from this era.
