Antique Country French Oak Secretary
About the Item
Antique Country French Oak Secretary is a superb example of this most efficient form of cabinetry. Combining a chest of drawers with a desk, it works in any situation where efficiency is paramount. Hand-crafted from solid oak, the slant front with carved bas relief embellishment opens up to be supported by two brass chains, and reveals a sizeable work surface, cubby holes and two drawers with brass knobs. The three full width drawers feature complementary bas relief carvings as well as elaborately cast brass pulls and key guards. A contoured apron and scrolled legs complete the look.
