About the Item
A finely constructed two part campaign chest with the classic brass banding overall and inset brass carry handles. The top chest has two short drawers flanking a center one that opens to a secretary with a replaced green felt writing surface, drawers and a center door compartment. With two long lower drawers side by side. The lower chest with two long drawers and raised on short bracket feet. Two brass carry handles on each side. Lacking a key.
Dimensions: 40 1/2" wide x 17" deep x 19" high, top chest
40 3/4" wide x 17 1/2" deep x 19 1/2" high, lower chest
Total dimensions: 40.75” wide by 17.5” deep by 38.5” high.
Condition: Please review the detail photos. Restoration recommended however not required. The Chest is distressed with various signs of age and use including lacking a key, the top chest with a stable age crack across one end and marks and gouges. Both chests with worn drawer fronts and some overall wear due to the use of such chests. There are some losses and green oxidation to the brass finishes. One drawer on bottom with stable age crack all mentioned for accuracy as the presentation is Classic Antique Campaign style.
