Biedermeier secretary desk, South west German, 1820.
This beautiful drop front desk has three drawers in the lower part, they are embellished with original lion head brass fittings and inlaid ebonized wood escutcheons. The walnut veneer has a beautifully designed wood grain. The writing flap opens to an inside with 7 small drawers and several open compartments. The writing surface is covered with maroon colored leather. This elegant secretary desk is in very good refinished and French polished condition.
