Highly Carved Pine Secretary from Denmark, circa 1890

About the Item

Elaborate carving accentuate the entire surface of this striking pine secretary. Enlarge photos to appreciate the extensive details, including vines, birds, leaves, trees, dentil molding and more. The middle section is the traditional desk which includes six small drawers which are revealed when the desktop is opened. The upper section has 2 cabinet doors which opens to reveal two shelves and an upper traditional spoon rack. The lock for upper exterior door and desktop still function with 2 keys included. This carved secretary is restored, solid/stable and ready to be used. It is built in two sections allowing for easier transportation and installation. All scratches, multiple cracks, dings, and age related separation are reflective of age/use and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this unique secretary.
