About the Item

Exquisite Louis XVI drop front desk, France 1780, walnut root veneer with details in cherry, plum and boxwood veneer and Marquetry. The special something about this secrétaire is the outside of its writing top. It has a stunning mirrored walnut root veneer in butterfly shape. The inside has six small drawers and four open compartments. The writing surface is covered with green leather. Additionally there are three large drawers on the outside. The secrétaire is in very good condition. It comes refinished and French polished and has its original brass fittings. It ships from Germany and includes shipping to Boston.
