A Swedish period Gustavian painted cabinet from the early 19th century. This antique cabinet from Sweden features a beautifully designed back top rail which is embellished in the center with pierced carved and entwined arches framed nicely within a rectangular surround and flanked by a pair of curvy s-scrolls at either side. Three petite shelves are housed beneath a recessed shelf at back. The main cabinet has a pair of nicely reed-panel doors which when open to an inner shelf offering up great storage potential inside. The skirting is clean and straight and the cabinet is raised slightly above the ground on block style feet. The new, custom finish is in blue with hues in turquoise, cerulean, and sky blue with gray accents.
