Guy Lefevre 70s Green Chestofdrawers, Secretaire, Lacquer Roche Bobois
By Guy Lefevre
Located in Valladolid, ES
One of a Kind design piece, exclusive for its shapes, size, finish and colour. It is a tall chest of drawers or secretaire made of chartreuse or Carthusian green lacquered wood, a 1970s design by Guy Lefèvre for the luxurious and exquisite French house Maison Jansen. The piece of furniture stands on four legs in gilded brass. Its front is divided into seven drawers with a rectangular profile, each one topped with diamond-shaped handles with extendable handles, all in the same golden brass. The central drawer extends like a secretary, inside which there are four small drawers and a central space. It is a piece of great aesthetic personality, totally unique. The color of the lacquer is called chartreuse green in reference to the liquor produced by the Carthusian monks at the French monastery of Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse (founded by Saint Bruno...
