About the Item

This is a functional and beautiful piece with many unique features. The drawers pulls and escutcheons are a geometric delight, made of pewter/brass and black cellulose. Deep and generous drawers include original locks and keys, which all function smoothly. At chest level while standing, you will find a very nicely appointed little writing surface complete with a cabinet for stationary supplies and drawers for correspondence. Some scratches and fading of the original finish occur throughout, only adding to the patina of this fully functioning antique.
