19th century Victorian Burled Walnut Étagère with Mirror

About the Item

Highly ornate Victorian burled walnut étagère/hall stand composed of three tiers of open shelves on either side of a tall mirror. The base features three more shelves over five drawers that are topped with beveled marble on either side. This monumental piece was in a Victorian home here in Savannah on Hall Street and was there from the time of purchase in the 19th century until now that it has come to us. Original glass, brass hardware and marble. Especially interesting crown with fleur-de-lis decorative carving. See measurements below.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Very good condition with original finish. Original mirror has some loss to the silver.Since many of our pieces are well over one to two hundred years old, there is no way for us to detect every expert repair that may have been previously made.
