We kept the same sustainably harvested solid wood base and gave our iconic bobbi mini shelf a colorful new update in a hand-blended barbie-like pink with a glossy finish! She's only here for a limited time.
A playful exaggeration that toes the line between functional shelf and wall art. As a kid, I was obsessed with the Borrowers. I thought it was hilarious and whimsical, and I loved how the family would take common household items and turn them into something useful to them. It was the best play of scale. These interests were my inspiration for the bobbi, a shelf inspired by the bobby pin. The shelf comes in two sizes a mini 16in shelf, which is pictured here, and a massive 3ft long shelf. I designed the mini to hang in closets, dressing rooms, and bathrooms, but I won’t stop you from putting it from wherever your heart desires (or space permits). studio apotroes, is a sustainable material and furniture company challenging existing understandings of what home looks and feels like to create the future of living. Marrying traditional and new fabrication techniques and materials studio apotroes aims to push the boundaries on the contemporary understanding of furniture design and materiality to provide a new image of sustainability that is inclusive of multiple aesthetics. Through our designs and products, we want to not only offer practical home goods designed to last multiple lifetimes but also explore what and how those goods can be produced to outlive the owner with minimal environmental impact. A majority of our pieces are made in our San Antonio and NYC-based studios but also partner with local craftspeople to bring some of our other designs to life. studio apotroes is not a big box store or a mass production company, we are a small design studio that wants customers to love and cherish each piece they bring into their home for generations to come.
