The T-square shelf by Cypriot Michael Anastassiades is one of the first pieces of furniture designed by the designer. The support is in bronze lacquered metal or solid brass, and the shelf is in solid oak or Arabescato marble. It is a simple and sober accessory. “A simple shelf, suspended by a strap, seems to be in perfect balance. Acrobatics between objects placed on 2 sides. The two elements sit against the wall with a precision reminiscent of beautifully crafted architectural drawings. " COEDITION is a French publisher of high-end contemporary furniture created in 2014. Thanks to the diversity of the languages ??of its international designer's partners, COEDITION is an avant-garde brand, with the concern and the desire for sustainability. They are selected with great care. Among other things, solid woods and veneers are, depending on their origins and terms of supply. Our manufacture is only made in Italy, with the best craftsmen in the profession, committed to quality and the environment. Today 13 great designers are creating exclusive collections for COEDITION: Patricia Urquiola, Patrick Jouin, Luca Nichetto, Rodolfo Dordoni, Shin Azumi ”, Michael Anastassiades, Olivier Gagnère, Dominique Perrault and Gaelle Lauriot Prévost, Marco Zanuso Jr., Arnaud and Aki Cooren, and finally Alain Moatti. Our catalog offers furniture for the home, public places, reception areas, restaurants, hotels. Our raw materials are carefully selected, solid woods and veneers, according to their origins. Michael Anastassiades founded his own design studio in London in 1994. Trained in industrial design and engineering at the Royal College of Art in London and at Imperial College, the Cypriot designer designs lighting, mirrors, and furniture halfway between industrial design, sculpture, and decorative art. Simple in appearance, yet meticulously detailed, these creations reflect his training as a civil engineer and industrial designer. Michael Anastassiades is particularly renowned for his lighting, which represents 80% of his studio's work. He often chooses reflective materials - such as glass and polished bronze - in order to dematerialize his objects, and give the feeling of floating and of being independent of the space that surrounds them. Since his collaboration with the architectural firm Studio Mumbai (2006), Michael Anastassiades has increasingly come to work with the world's greatest architects - including David Chipperfield and John Pawson - and interior designers such as Studio Ilse. His designs can be found in many hotels, restaurants, and stores around the world - including the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, the Soho House in New York, and the Sergio Rossi boutiques. In addition to being commissioned by private patrons and clients all over the world - Anastassiades works with many world-renowned avant-garde designers and prestigious manufacturers, including Hussein Chalayan, Swarovski Crystal Palace, Lobmeyer, and Svenskt Tenn. This year, he will launch two lighting collections for Flos. In 2007 Michael created a company under his own name. His restricted vocabulary of forms may suggest that he is minimalist, but his work is very luxurious and sensual due to the quality of the materials used. Michael Anastassiades recently launched his own boutique in London which provides him with an ideal platform to present and launch new products from his collections.
