18th/19th Century French Provincial Oak Early Marquetry Sideboard

A rare and likely one-of-a-kind rustic country French oak and marquetry enfilade buffet. circa 1775-1825 Born in Provincial France in the late 18th / early 19th century, hand-crafted in elegant Louis XV taste, having a wooden planked top with molded edge, high-quality pegged mortise through-tenoned case with rounded corners and paneled sides, primitive marquetry-work with five-pointed stars and Maltese cross inlays, fitted with two dovetailed drawers, over double-door cabinet opening to a large shelved interior, affixed with the original iron hardware, boarded back, scalloped skirt, rising on short cabriole scroll legs. Dimensions: (approx) 47.5" High, 57.5" Wide, 23.25" Deep Beautifully aged warm rich dark mellow patina over the whole. Strong and sturdy, retaining original antique character and old world European charm throughout, typical wear consistent with age and use, including scattered nicks, minor scratches, losses, and age related warping to the top. Delivered cleaned, waxed, with hand rubbed polished French patina finish, ready for immediate use

A most impressive Renaissance Revival Henry II style well carved solid walnut sideboard server from the second half of the 19th century, finished in later chic distressed dusty blue painted finish with light airy hues of chalky gray. Born in France, circa 1870, this piece is wonderfully hand carved and crafted with wonderful attention to detail. It features a rectangular wooden top over an ornate frieze with foliate carvings and decorative ornamentation, large dovetailed drawer in the center, flanked by a pair of smaller drawers, all affixed with original patinated brass pulls, rising over the open shelf base with classical arched fluted columns, paneled back, above stepped molded skirt, resting on bun feet.     A scarce French Provincial Louis XV (1715-1774) / Louis XVI (1774-1792) Period mixed wood religious oratory (prie-dieu / altar) Hand-crafted in France in the 18th century, with later 19th century elements, likely originating in the south of France / Mediterranean region, featuring pegged solid wooden construction of warm, rich fruitwood, chesnut, oak, and maple. Having a slant-front bureau with tall raised back decorated with three Renaissance Revival style high relief panels, the center depicting religious scene comprising Jesus and winged Saint, the side panels with foliate floral fruit pendant carvings, flanked by classical turned baluster-form columns, surmounted with highly stylized hand carved and turned finials.
