About the Item
Chiostro is a tribute to Italy's immense architectural heritage. The design is a hybrid of classic and contemporary, and is characterised by rigorous lines embellished by an inlay that enhances the company's know-how. Even the workmanship is a hybrid of ancient and modern: the wooden structure is made with a CNC pantograph, while the inlay is made strictly by hand with precious woods. The lacquered finish simulates the purity of the marble widely used in classical architecture. Chiostro is not a simple piece of furniture, but a symbol of Italian culture, history and taste.
Features
Rose light lacquered wooden console table, hand inlaid middle shelf in rosewood and ashwood.
Size: 140 x 30 x 65 H
Designer - Roberto Rago, creative diretion Hebanon studio
Graduated in "Design and Communication" in Italy, Roberto Rago is active in the product, interior, graphic and experience sectors. His design method is based on the observation of society, customs and habits, trying to investigate the interaction between things, people and space, and the ways that trigger affection towards an object. In 2016 the "Otium" project received an honourable mention from the Order of Architects of Bologna in the "The Bside" contest. In 2020 the "Lucky" project won third prize in the "Real Wood" contest organised by the Fondazione Real Sito di Carditello. Since 2017 he has collaborated as a product designer with the companies Hebanon Fratelli Basile1830 and Marmi Sacco. His works have been exhibited at the events: Bologna Design Week, Arkeda Mostra Convegno, Fuorisalone, Salone del Mobile di Milano, Edit Napoli and published on websites and magazines such as Marie Claire Maison, Case Design e Stili, Archiproduct.
The Company identity - Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830
42 are the wooden species kept in our vault of centuries-old veneers, 5 of which are endangered; 2 are the result of anomalies: woods tell as much about humanity as people do.
In Hebanon Fratelli Basile 1830 we operate with respect for man and the environment,
using only non-toxic products for human health, formaldehyde free, wood with forest certifications and recovering processing waste as a source of complementary energy.
All products are 100% certified Designed and manufactured in Italy, branded and identified by an identification number and holographic mark that guarantee their uniqueness and originality in the world.
Language
Our language stems from our cultural heritage coming from the Kingdom of the two Sicilies and from cabinetmaking of which we have internalized the discipline, technique and vision.
- The carvings: they become elements that sculpt the air and dictate the rhythm of space; a game of seduction between opposites: hot and cold, masculine and feminine, natural and precious materials, pure and primary shapes alternating with organic forms of nature.
- The inlays: they lose the only decorative value, acquiring in themselves the narrative value of the object; perspectives, optical illusions, sometimes provocative, sometimes sensual, sometimes ethereal and elusive, natural materials and textures that anthropomorphize nature.
Prices do not include shipping from Italy.

Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830
Woods tell as much about humanity as people do: this is the conviction behind Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830® research project and our home and kitchen furniture lines. A research on language and composition that starts from the universal values shared by every individual. The purity of materials and shapes, together with ancient cabinet-making techniques reinterpreted in a modern and contemporary key, tell not only a lifestyle but also stories. For us an object is design if it has a heart, a soul and a brain: it is with this spirit that we design and produce furniture. Hebanon is a "land" of disciplined visionaries: we operate in the convinced choice of a slow design that restores value to the home and to those who live in it according to 4 fundamental principles: Empathy, Design, Commitment and Technical Avant-garde. Behind the Hebanon Fratelli Basile - 1830® project is the product design Hebanon Studio whose creators are Giovanna, Maria and Nicola Basile. Our creations are born from the observation of People. We try to interpret their desires, emotions and dynamism by creating comfortable objects whose graphic sign can describe the poetry of small daily gestures. Our vocation is to give people a small moment of wonder. Because the moments that amaze us, make our days interesting and bring us back to a state of serenity. We want to create not only furniture but anchors, works in which to immerse and identify, amaze and fall in love, a place in which to say: this is my home
