Antique Mahogany English Sideboard by Schmieg and Kotzian


This beautiful mahogany sideboard features stunning mahogany veneers, carefully crafted fluted legs, solid brass hardware and a tambour sliding centre door. Made in the early 20th century by Schmieg and Kotzian, this piece is exceptionally well made and in great condition. Schmieg and Kotzian were German brothers who began their furniture company after several years spent in European cabinetmaking. Originally based out of London, they moved to New York just passed the turn of the century and brought their high quality European cabinetmaking talents to America. This piece is no exception with carefully chosen mahogany veneers, English dovetail joinery, and solid wood construction.
