This elegantly formed Art Deco Directoire Style Sideboard in book-matched Walnut & Doors in Saddle Leather originates from France, Circa 1940. Features a series of elegant curves and beautiful proportions forming the frame of te sideboard, with tapered saber style supports and a gently curving front surface, framing the remarkable doors finished in saddle leather with a subtle gilt cross hatched detailing adorning the front. The finish of the wood is deep and sumptuous, with gorgeous grain and beveled detailing. The interior has a shelf with inlays and ample opportunity for storage. A highly usable and aesthetically gorgeous piece beautifully exemplifying the design characteristics and materials of the Art Deco movement, this sideboard will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Art Deco to Mid-Century Modernist and Contemporary Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
