About the Item

Atelier C. Demoyen, sideboard, solid elm, France, 1970s Gorgeous and naturalistic sideboard designed by Atelier C. Demoyen in the 1970s. Made in solid elmwood, this piece exudes a stunning and rich atmosphere because of the use of this warm wood type. With great practicality also included in this design, this sideboard is a wonderful choice to add to an interior. The sideboard displays multiple compartments and drawers for keeping things tidy and organized. The detailing of this piece is beautiful, for instance the partially recessed handles for opening, and the beautiful grain of the elm wood adding to its charm. Atelier C. Demoyen (Claude de Moyen) gained prominence as a workshop recognized for crafting, among others, Pierre Chapo's designs. Consequently, their own furniture creations bear the hallmark of impeccable craftsmanship and the use of premium quality materials. Situated in a small French municipality of Moncel-lès-Lunéville, their operations commenced around 1976. Their body of work is distinguished by the primary utilization of solid wood, expertly constructed through intricate wood joinery techniques.
