Geometric Lacquered Brass and Black Marquina Marble Top Sideboard, Italy
About the Item
Bespoke lacquered brass and black Marquina marble top sideboard or credenza completely hand-crafted by a master artisan in Italy. Handcrafted wooden cabinet with projecting geometric shapes is clad or veneered in lacquered brass, creating a 3-dimensional, functional work of art. Two doors on each of the cabinet's ends open with a push-in mechanism to reveal a roomy interior with glass shelves for storage. Center panel remains stationary. Sideboard is finished with a Black Marquina marble with white veins top slab which creates a beautiful contrast in both texture and color to the sleek brass of the cabinet. Black "Nero" Marquina marble is a high quality, black stone marble extracted from the region of Markina, Basque country in the North of Spain. It is one of the most beautiful and important marbles from Spain. It has a fine and compact grain, black, with white veins. This sideboard is on display at the Gallery at 200 Lex at the New York Design Center.
