About the Item

Enrico & Paolo Borghi, sideboard, mahogany, Italy, 1950s Admirable high sideboard in mahogany with carved doors by Italian duo Enrico & Paolo Borghi, manufactured in the 1950s in Cantu. The storage piece consists of two elements. Firstly, the long sideboard and secondly a high cabinet on top. Both parts are individually designed in the way that a flat surface on the bottom piece is combined with a carved front on top. Four lockable doors are beautifully carved with horizontal lines. One wide, convex segment is followed by three thin lines. The relief creates an eye-catching rhythm. Long, vertical handles strengthen the design and are also discernible in small variant on the panels of the long cabinet. The interior houses an ingenious storage system, consisting of extendable drawers and shelves. The great craftsmanship in combination with detailed, well-proportioned design combines into a striking piece with both functional features as well as a high visual quality.   Kindly note that this item is in good, used condition. The mahogany type of this piece does not require an export license.
