About the Item

Extremely rare wall-hung sideboard Model: 123 from 1952, designed by Florence Knoll for Knoll International. This version was produced in 1952 in only a small edition by Knoll in Stuttgart adding to its rarity. The sliding doors are woven with seagrass, a beautiful, warm and subtle detail. Stitched leather strips as handles. The body is made of oiled teak on the outside, light maple was processed on the inside, creating a fine contrast. The cabinet comes with the original Knoll Stuttgart production label and fully original back wall mounting. (this has always been a floating piece fully original) The cabinet remains in gorgeous vintage condition and looks amazing. On the right sliding door, the seagrass has worn slightly where your fingers connect with the leather strip of the door to open en close it (see close up). This is nothing crazy and using this piece for over 70 years would explain the wear with daily use. The top has 2 spots one old veneer repair and a small dent please see close ups. However these things are barely visible and do not harm the amazing look and feel of this mid-century design icon. We are certain the future buyer will absolutely be pleased with this one of kind Knoll collectable.
