French Louis Philippe Period Walnut Enfilade, Sideboard, Buffet with Four Doors
About the Item
This French Louis Philippe period enfilade or sideboard from the mid-nineteenth century is constructed of solid walnut. This server features three drawers of dovetail construction that fit seamlessly into the apron below the top. Below are four doors that allow access to the lower cabinets. The doors are fitted with bronze escutcheons detailed with classic beading. Its interior is divided into three cavities with a single cabinet behind the outer doors and a separate cabinet behind the two central doors. A single shelf in each cavity allows for ample storage space. A beautiful piece with a warm, rich patina, circa 1840.
