French Midcentury Modern Steel & Walnut Console / Sideboard
About the Item
A timeless, elegant French Modernist / Industrial console or sideboard. This exceptional piece achieves a purity of form, a harmony of color while creating a unified, balanced composition. Form and Function achieve their aims perfectly in this work of art.
The piece is composed of a black enameled steel frame with two large enameled steel drawers balancing each other on each side. A thick 2.5" hand hewn solid walnut top is set in the steel frame and a zinc lower shelf completes the composition. The wood and zinc balanced against the enameled steel frame effect a delicate harmony of materials and color.
