German Palisander and Chrome Highboard with Inlay Decoration, Circa 1960's

About the Item

This beautiful highboard cabinet strikes a stunning look even at a glance. Constructed from eye-catching palisander rosewood, every side of this highboard has a dazzling array of gorgeous natural wood grains. In particular, the two lower drawers on the proper right side have a subtle display of wood inlay. The geometric design of aligned diamonds are intersected by the opening of the drawers, giving a pleasing satisfaction upon closing the drawers and lining up the diamonds once again. This spectacular highboard stands on straight chrome steel legs, the bright clean appearance of the steel giving a cool bit of contrast against the warm tones of the palisander wood. Though this piece is apparently without tags, save for an indiscernible remnant on the back board, it has been attributed to Musterring International, a reputable German furniture company known for their style and classic designs. This piece is in great condition with only minor signs of wear, consistent with its age and use.
