About the Item
Dramatic grand French ebonized sideboard or buffet featuring a thick Carrara marble top slab. Beautifully crafted on a massive scale in the neoclassical Louis XVI taste. The case has gracefully curved demi-lune ends with five storage doors opening to large storage areas. The doors are decorated with bronze trim and escutcheons. The marble top measures over 1 inch thick and has a conforming shape with curved ends and caps over the bronze mounted pilasters decorating the front. The case is supported by six tapered legs ending with patinated brass sabot feet. The mahogany has been intentionally aged with an ebonized finish in a dark matte patina that showcase the handsome profile and bronze accents. Original lock plates and keys.
