About the Item

The Heritage sideboard is a magnificent journey through Portuguese legacy. Covered in Azulejos, traditional hand-painted tiles and one of the most representative art forms of Portuguese culture, the architectural sideboard portrays different scenes from the country’s Discoveries era. Centuries of history are gathered in a single final panel, and the hint of wandering through the rich legacy continues when two doors open to a gold-leaf interior. This classical ornament trim reminds the inside of churches and rich buildings creating a statement sideboard that can take center stage in the most elegant rooms since its back is also fully hand painted. A lengthy tradition of bespoke and exclusivity to make one-of-kind design pieces.

The building also underwent some changes through the years, having even been partially destroyed by a fire in the meantime. Inspired by such a strong building, with such strong roots, Malabar created the Cortez Sideboard...
