High End 'Series 3' Sideboard by Dieter Waeckerlin for Idealheim, 1960s

About the Item

A special high-end sideboard from the ‘Series 3’ designed by Dieter Waeckerlin in 1963 for his Swiss company Idealheim. It has a solid walnut frame with a white laminated front, top and back. It features three drawers on the left and 2 doors on the right with slide-out trays and a removable bottle holder, as seen in the B series. In very good condition. This sideboard was produced in small numbers only. The credenza features clean lines and a balanced, sleek combination of white formica and metal with warm wood veneer. In 1964, it also won the 'Gute Form' award at the Swiss Industries Fair.
