About the Item

Sideboard in Walnut by Jos De Mey for Van den Berghe-Pauvers, Belgium, 1960s. Part of the Abstracta serie. This sideboard features four large doors and four drawers. Each door opens and closes with a key. The cabinet has brass details and is labeled on the inside as shown in photos. All together a wonderful find of mid-century design that will definitely draw the attention in the decor. It remains in good, vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. Jos de Mey was a prominent figure in the furniture scene in Gent, Belgium, working in the Van den Berghe-Pauvers furniture company where he would be bound to until the early 1960s.
