About the Item
Danish furniture designer Kurt Østervig (1912-1986) began his career as a naval architect in Odense, Denmark before changing career paths in favor of design, quickly becoming one of Scandinavia's leading modern furniture designers of the mid-20th century. Designed by Ostervig and well-crafted by VAMO Sonderborg in sturdy oak, Ostervig's material of choice, stained in a warm finish, this handsome sideboard features three swing-open doors with slat grooved fronts. The central cabinet features an open compartment above two pull-out drawers lined in green felt, flanked by two cabinets each with internal shelving, providing ample, organized storage.
With Danish Control label to interior and manufacturer's stamp verso.
