Louis XV Carved Serpentine Sideboard, circa 1890

About the Item

The graceful lines of a serpentine front, rounded corners, cabriole legs, and scrolled carvings are paired with solid oak construction finished in a dark stain with a lovely patina, creating this magnificent sideboard that is both elegant and bold. The sideboard offers generous storage behind its double doors that open to a serpentine shelf. Two wide drawers above the doors provide storage for smaller items. A floral motif is prevalent on the drawers, doors, and aprons with striking foliage on the sideboard's corners, back edge, and knees of the legs.
