About the Item
Clean lines of modern materials seamlessly mesh with aged hardwood in this one of a kind furniture piece. Floating effortlessly atop a thin profile of our handcrafted Loop Legs, the soft matte finish of the exterior panels frames the subtle yet telling history of the reclaimed and stained hardwood cladding on both door faces. The Double Geode is a two door cabinet from the North Fork Collection at Studio Melrose. This piece can be your credenza, entry table, bar cabinet or console for media and more. Studio Melrose founders, Jodie Jacobson Melrose and David Melrose, are from the North Fork Valley Colorado and the North Fork of Long Island respectively. The North Fork Collection is intended to embody universal style, embodying sensibilities that are just fitting on the coast as in the mountains or the city. The top and sides of the piece is white Corian is finished in matte surface that is equal parts sophisticated and durable. The base is fortified with white metal legs that create an illusion of suspension. The door faces feature a white washed patinated wood finish.We use European style hinges with an effortless push-to-open mechanism. Utilizing invisible hardware is a staple in our work, but for this piece we have highlighted the fasteners leaving the recessed precision brass hardware exposed on each side. Our cabinets are designed to be more than just furniture, they are functional art in your home.
