This stunning pair of lacquered wood sideboards from the Qing Dynasty (circa 1870-1880) are reminiscent of Chinese temples with their architectural form, evoking the grandeur of traditional temple structures. The cabinets feature intricate and highly realistic scenes on their front panels, depicting dignitaries in a garden with exquisite gold accents, making a striking visual impact. Each sideboard measures 123 cm x 45 cm x 94 cm high (with the top surface at 89 cm high). Their form and detailed artwork convey a sense of historical depth and cultural significance.
