28VJL47 Pine Painted Eight Drawer Dresser Base 35.5”Wx17”Dx30.5”H Hungary circa 1920 $1695.00. Small pieces of furniture with multiple drawers are always popular and this configuration is particularly attractive and useful. A central cupboard with a paneled door is surrounded by eight dovetailed drawers, two above and three on each side, all with original ziinc bail pulls. Such a piece is very versatile, suggesting uses from a TV stand or powder room vanity base to an apothecary cupboard or office storage cabinet, a side cupboard in a dining room or kitchen or an accent piece anywhere. Two or three coats of off-white to grey paint are worn and rubbed through resulting in an unusual Gustavian-type finish.
