Striking Scandinavian Modern figured birch demi lune sideboard/bar cabinet signed Otto Meyer, Snedkermester, Kobenhaven, 1918.
Featuring a large central top drawer flanked by a pair of unusual demi lune side drawers above a recessed tambour front storage compartment, with two wonderfully figured birch demi lune doors on each side. Stylish front cabriole legs, hand painted faux marble top.

Otto Meyer worked with some of the most admired Scandinavian Modern designers including Kaare Klint and Arne Jacobsen. This Sideboard/Bar is a rare early example of his work executed in luminous figured birch wood.
Very good condition commensurate with age, no repairs, very minute surface wear consistent with age.

Hans Helge Madsen and Otto Käszner The Danish Architectural Press 2003. ... Møller and Kay Gottlob and a sideboard was shown that was designed by Kaare Klint that was made by the cabinetmaker Otto Meyer.
