Very Fine Quality Black Chinoiserie Painted Marble Top French Louis XV Sideboard
About the Item
This is a superb, absolutely spectacular coromandel chinoiserie lacquer sideboard buffet in the manner of Paul Sormani. The finish, the bronze, the marble top are all in very good condition with minor signs of age and use. The gorgeous coloration and Chinese scenery really bring the piece to life as it truly tells a story of Chinese country life, only on a fantastic French Louis XV bronze mounted case. This is a true masterpiece of French cabinetry and painted craftsmanship. Dates to the 1920s era.
