About the Item
Here is a rare asymmetric sideboard / console by Roger Rougier, circa 1980s. The piece is comprised of two halves - on the left a triangular set of drawers topped by a deep drop-down cabinet in gloss black lacquer; the right consists of a lighted cabinet with adjustable shelving in a matte black finish and another "floating" drop-down cabinet above, which features a built-in silverware holder. It is in excellent vintage condition with only light scratches and minor finish losses. This is more notable on the matte finished cabinet. It is very clean and absolutely ready to stun. The sideboard was purchased from the original owners where it has sat in their Los Angeles estate since 1989. The dimensions are 80" W x 40" H x 23" D. This is postmodernism at its best!
