Vintage sideboard is an original design furniture realized by Giotto Stoppino for Acerbis in the second half of the 20th century. Original steel and wood furniture. Realized for Acerbis, Italy. Very good conditions. This vintage sideboard has been designed and created by the Italian designer Giotto Stoppino. It is made in steel and wood and is in excellent conditions. It has been realized for Acerbis, an Italian design company. It was the 1870s when Benvenuto Acerbis started his carpenter's workshop in Albino, Bergamo. “Welcome Acerbis Upholstery, Carpenter and Carpenter. Electric Motor Furniture Factory. Complete Plants ", the sign says, already implying one of the pillars of Acerbis' philosophy: the dialogue between technology, craftsmanship and deep knowledge of the objects. The work has been realized by Giotto Stoppino (1926 - 2011) an Italian architect and designer. A pupil of Ernesto Nathan Rogers, one of the inspiring exponents of neoliberty, after completing his studies at the Iuav University of Venice and the Polytechnic of Milan, in 1953 he associated with the architects Vittorio Gregotti and Lodovico Meneghetti. From this collaboration some experimental projects in the field of architecture and design are born. In 1968 he opened an independent studio and devoted himself mainly to home design. His activity ranges from architecture, to urban planning, to design. Since 1970 he has been present in the permanent collection of the MoMA, Museum of Modern Art in New York with the 537 lamp by Arteluce, while the Sheraton furniture by Acerbis has been present since 1981 in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, other of his projects are exhibited in the museums of Munich and Chicago.
