Large sideboard from the ‘Abstracta’ series designed by Jos De Mey for Van Den Berghe-Pauvers around 1960. This sideboard is made of walnut with a beautiful wood grain and has 4 doors with adjustable shelves. Above there are 4 drawers. Remarkable is the height (97cm) of this model which is a bit higher than usual and makes it a very practical storage cabinet. In perfect restored condition. Labeled by the maker and comes with four original keys.

Jos De Mey
Jos De Mey was a Flemish-Belgian painter. He is primarily known for depictions of impossible objects in a photo-realistic style, with acrylic paintings constituting the majority of his work. He frequently depicted characters of other artists, notably Magritte, M. C. Escher, and Bruegel. Prior to his focus on painting, he taught and studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. At the time of his death De Mey resided in Zomergem, Belgium.
