The single door case with a hand-painted board depicting a garden courting scene surmounted with ormolu wreaths and a banded frame. The top with a pierced gilt bronze gallery above an ormolu royal tassel trim flanked by a pair of female masks above crossed torches and flames, cross flutes, a tambourine, a pan flute, ribbons and a tassel. Raised of four cabriolet legs with corner ormolu wreaths and leaves ending with hooves, Paris, circa 1990.
The back bears the original Majorelle label that reads: "Louis Majorelle, Fabrique a Nancy, 3 Rue Girardel. Depot. 56 Rue de Paradis, Paris."
Louis-Jean-Sylvestre Majorelle, usually known simply as Louis Majorelle, (26 September 1859 – 15 January 1926) was a French decorator and furniture designer who manufactured his own designs, in the French tradition of the ébéniste. He was one of the outstanding designers of furniture in the Art Nouveau style, and after 1901 formally served as one of the vice-presidents of the École de Nancy.

The projecting cornice finely carved with a frieze of linked coquillage centred by a sculptural giltwood cresting of a crowned shield displaying the double 'L' monogram above a Fleur-de-lis of Louis Philippe and flanked by playful putti, below three pilaster uprights each with gilded Corinthian capitals and trailing foliate relief, frame two sets of brass faced bronze doors fitted with plate glass and opening to an interior containing three shelves, the sides similarly glazed and the whole raised on a plain square section base.
This vitrine was formerly in the collection of the Monseigneur Le Comte de Paris et Madame la Comtesse de Paris from the Villa La Quinta Do Anjiho in Portugal.

The serpentine-shaped brèche d’ alep marble top above a single centered glass door, flanked to each side by a conforming panel, the mirrored interior fitted with three adjustable glass shelves, the canted angles set with pierced foliate-cast clasps, above a bombé shaped apron, on cabriole legs with scrolled-acanthus sabots.
The quality of the cabinetry and solid wood frame, along with the quality and design of the mounts, is characteristic of Zwiener’s oeuvre. Similar flower-filled cornucopia chutes can be found on other Zwiener models.
Born in Herdon, Germany, in 1849, Joseph Emmanuel Zwiener followed the tradition of some of the best ébnistes of the nineteenth century. He moved to Paris establishing a workshop at 12, rue de la Roquette, between 1880 and 1895. He produced a wide array of the very finest furniture, modelling in his own interpretations of the eighteenth century Louis XV Rococo style, veneered with the highest and finest quality marquetry and ‘Vernis Martin’ panels. Exhibiting at the Exposition Universelle, Paris, in 1889, Zwiener was awarded a gold medal for what the jury reported as ‘dè ses dèbuts à une Exposition Universelle, [il] s’est mi au premier rang par la richesse, la hardinesse, et le fini de ses meubles incrustés de bronze et fort habilment marquetés.’
Zwiener was closely associated with François Linke, and the two houses produced work which, at first glance, is remarkably similar and with occasionally identical mounts. The similarities are made more likely by the fact that the brilliant sculptor, Léon Messagé, worked initially for Zwiener and subsequently, upon Zwiener’s departure for Berlin to work on furniture commissioned by Freidrich Wilhelm II , he was employed in the workshop of François Linke. It appears that Zwiener, unlike Linke, did not sign all his work, although some stamped pieces with his name and/or his “Z” initial are documented. The upper cabinet has three doors with astonishingly beautiful glass panels which have been deeply wheel cut repeating the diamond pattern as below.
The interior of the upper cabinet is painted white, backed by mirror and holds nine adjustable thick glass shelves each with plate grooves.
Top left and right have signature Parzinger 'wings' a design element frequently repeated in his career.

The front door is one of them and it is beveled. It is decorated with a gilt mounted bronze garland of roses, mixed of flowers and foliage at the top and bottom area. At the top center, there is a gilt bronze shell and at the bottom a Wedgwood light blue porcelain round plaque with a cherub that is carving a piece of stone. Above the plaque, a large gilt bronze bow is decorating the curio cabinet. There are scrolls of acanthus leaves adorning each side of the upper top corners of the door. A gilt bronze swag made of laurel leaves branches with a bow in the center embellish the frieze of each one of the sides, and its corners are also decorated with scrolls of acanthus leaves with a garland of buds hanging from them. There are also some gilt beads chain ornaments decorating the wood part of the sides. The cornice is adorned with a bronze border made of carved acanthus leaves. The upper part of the curio cabinet is covered by a heavy light pink with grey veins marble top. To support the vitrine there are four gilt heavy bronze lion paws decorated with large acanthus leaves and a pair of laurel branches at the upper part of them. These acanthus leaves are spreading toward the lower front border and forming an arc. There are four adjustable thick glass shelves inside the curio cabinet and a lower one made of wood that is covered with a light yellow color Damask fabric.
