Qing Dynasty 19th Century Armoire with Carved Skirt and Large Medallion

About the Item

A Chinese Qing Dynasty period armoire from the 19th century with natural wood finish, carved skirt, hidden drawers and medallion hardware. Created in China during the Qing Dynasty period in the 19th century, this wooden armoire features a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a warm brown patina. The façade showcases two doors with large brass medallion and teardrop pulls, accented with hinges of similar style. These doors open to reveal an interior made of shelves, hidden drawers and a low compartment offering convenient storage opportunities. The façade's lower section presents a carved skirt adorned with pyramidal-shaped scrolling foliage carved in low-relief. The sides are sans décor except for a nicely arched apron each. The back is made of four recessed panels showcasing a darker color. With its clean lines, skillfully executed décor and warm brown patina, this Chinese Qing Dynasty period wooden armoire from the 19th century will make for a great addition to any home, placed in a bedroom or living room.
