Heavily Carved Pine Armoire from Austria, dated 1815
About the Item
Extensive hand carved details abound in this small scale two door pine armoire. Note the carved tassels, central cherub face, grapes & vines, flourishes and more throughout this armoire.
The large old skeleton key and lock still function.
Restored, this armoire is stable and ready for use. The wax finish adds a soft luster and brings out the warmth of the pine.
Scratches, cracks (seen in doors, etc), dings, age related separation are reflective of age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this special pine armoire. Interior was painted at some point in time, owner placed tape over vertical (minor) separation in the back panels.
Please refer to professional photos for clear understanding of color, condition, and details; photo lighting, individual monitor display and home lighting all impact how item is viewed. Photos are part of item description, please ask questions or request additional photos of specific areas if needed.
