About the Item

Hermann John Hagemann (1902) was an Austrian architect known to have worked as a site manager alongside Ludwig Mies van der Rohe for both the German pavilion at the World Exhibition in Barcelona, 1929 and for the house Tugendhat in Brno, between 1929-30. It also collaborate with Albert Esch, one of the best-known modernist landscape designers in Vienna. For the Werkbund settlement in Vienna, 1932, Hagemann was asked to design the interior for the House no. 25-28 by the French architect André Lurçat.
