Pine Armoire with Two Doors and One Interior Drawer
About the Item
The crown of this good-looking two door armoire is made more attractive by the contrast between the pine crown molding and the hardwood gadrooned frieze beneath it. Each door has a long flat panel with a much shorter one beneath it. The front corners and center strip bear an applied split column, smooth and tapering top to bottom, with hardwood Corinthian-style capitals and ending with urn-style turnings and standing on elongated pyramid bases. There is an original drawer in the bottom interior. Once with a stained finish, it still retains a good deal of reddish undercoat. The interior hat shelf and hanging pole are removable retrofits.
