Pine Armoire with Two Raised Panel Doors
About the Item
This compact little armoire has a lot going on. The ogee crown molding is bold and attractive and has a strip of large bead molding beneath. Each door has three raised panels. The top one is arched with triangular appliqués in the upper corners; the middle one small and placed horizontally; and the bottom one almost exactly square. The doors are flanked and separated by a wide reeded molding and a carved hardwood acanthus leaf corbel, and they open on pivot hinges to a retrofitted hat shelf and hanging pole. This piece has a lovely warm color.
