An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Victorian English sterling silver combination chamber candlestick and cigar cutter; an addition to our Victorian silver candlestick/candelabra collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver chamberstick/candle holder has a plain square rounded form. The well is plain and unembellished, encompassed with a plain elevated border. The plain cylindrical capital retains the original detachable hallmarked sconce, accented with a plain applied elevated border. The plain cylindrical column is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a heart surmounted with a coronet, all above the motto/proprietary name 'Cœur de Roy'. The impressive and rare example of Victorian silverware incorporates a cylindrical cigar cutter; this operates with a sprung, push fit catch to the upper portion. The chamberstick is supported by four plain bun style feet. An exceptional, fine and impressive, unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver chamber candlestick and vesta box compendium; part of our range of collectable silverware. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver chamberstick (chamber candlestick) has a plain pear shaped form. The plain bell shaped capital is unembellished and retains the original push fit hallmarked sconce. The anterior portion of the wax pan is compartmentalised with a hinged hallmarked cover, comprising a vesta box. The interior surface of the cover bears a textured panel/match striker. The plain rounded wax pan and sconce are each encircled with applied gadroon decorated borders. The border incorporates a plain receiver which allows the original hallmarked snuffer to sit securely. The snuffer has a plain bell shaped form and is surmounted by a simplified wirework finial. This silver chamberstick candle holder is fitted with a wirework style loop fingerpiece and supported by three plain wirework feet.
