This is an exceptional antique fold-over card table. An English, rosewood games or console table, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835. Magnificent craftsmanship distinguishes this fine gentleman's card table Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present an exquisite grain interest throughout From beneath the quality wax polish finish, warm caramel hues draw the eye Rotating through 90-degrees, the table opens out to reveal the striking playing surface The vibrant bright green baize presents a splendid fit and an invitingly tactile finish Beneath the folding top, a useful card box sits within the stout apron section Raised upon a gently tapered support, accentuated with beautifully carved details The base of distinctive hyperboloid form with a deep profile Riding smoothly on inset castors beneath the stout bun feet at each corner This is a first-class antique fold-over card table, offering the finest gentleman's club gaming appeal and superior craftsmanship.
