This is an antique fold-over card table. An English, burr walnut games table in Georgian revival taste, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910. Graceful side table, folding out to reveal a delightful playing surface Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order Burr walnut shows superb grain interest and rich caramel hues Striking emerald green baize in excellent condition Dual purpose to serve as a wonderful console table, or enjoyed as a fun and practical games surface Extends to an octagonal form from a narrow standard profile - ideal for occasional use Carved edges with egg and dart moulding add a distinctive, classic finish Attractive sash apron with serpentine curvature accentuates the frame Raised upon a quartet of slender cabriole legs, a rear flying leg supports the table surface This is a superb antique fold-over card table, with enticing quality and a wonderful finish throughout. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
