This is an antique fold-over parlour card table. An English, mahogany games or side table, dating to the William IV period, circa 1835. Appealing William IV craftsmanship to this fine parlour card table Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order Select stocks present superb grain interest throughout Graced with warm caramel hues beneath a quality wax polish finish Rotating through 90-degrees, the table opens out to reveal the playing surface Later, professionally dressed green baize presents a splendid fit and tactile finish Of generous size with a diameter of 84cm (33'') Beneath the folding top, a useful card box sits within the apron section The apron accentuated with leaf bracket detail to each side Raised upon a cylindrical support, accentuated with a chased petal mount The base of distinctive hyperboloid form with a deep profile Standing upon a quartet of shaped scroll feet with flowerhead patera The whole riding smoothly upon brass castors This is an attractive antique fold-over parlour card table, with striking gaming appeal and superior craftsmanship.
