Additions or alterations made to the original: I think that the top and base were married sometime in the l9th or early 20th century, but they are both 18th century and have been in this configuration for over half of their lives. The top has been refinished within the last 50 years,. Wear consistent with age and use. This marriage is a superb one, unless one examines it minutely, it is hard to tell that it is married.
